Smooth Jazz Removed from Weather Channel's Local On The 8's Segments

I pretty well knew that when NBC purchased The Weather Channel, they would
ruin it. And yes, they've taken some pretty good shots at the channel and
it's really noticable.

Today I learned that the Weather Channel has decideed to replace the smooth
jazz that has been a part of the Local On the 8's with soft rock. Hmmmm!
Do they really understand how stupid this decision was? No, and sadly, I
doubt they give a damn either.

It's going to be harder to understand the voiced information as it is spoken
over soft rock which almost always is a vocal track. Smooth Jazz made it
much easier to understand. The Weather Channel also has had two Smooth Jazz
CDs compiled of music that was popular in these segments and both peaked
very high on BillBoards Jazz album chart. How many ways can you say DUMB?

I'm slowly getting to the point where I just about refuse to tune in to the
Weather Channel and put up with their poor decisions regarding programming
and now the removal of smooth jazz from the local segment.

Their logic makes no sense and of course, these big corporations don't make
sense either. The networks wonder why viewership is going down and down and
down? If they'd just look in the mirror, they'd know why. So Mr. Weather
Channel, you just go ahead and play your soft rock and knock your socks off.
for me, you've just encouraged me not to tune in and put up with your
garbage.

By the time you realize your mistake, it will probably be too late as you
will have totally distroyed The Weather Channel and you will be scratching
your heads saying, "What in the world did we do wrong?"

You won't listen even if we try to tell you, so go and enjoy the ride, yes,
the ride down the river and hope you can swim cause your ship is starting to
sink.

Bring back more live weather programming and smooth jazz during the Local on
the 8s and you can save the ship from sinking before it's too late.

I've emailed TWC off & on for years now complaining about the freaking "voice over" during L on 8s. I've always kept TWC on nearly all day as background for whatever I'm doing & the jazz tunes were always so enjoyable before The Man Speak started during the music.

I can see more changes everyday on TWC -- they're getting very "entertainy." Some of it useless & dumb. And the bit with Al Roker is totally annoying because he himself is.
I love weather & that's what I want -- and lots of it. The more educational the better...more graphics & more techy, geeky info ! Not an on-air hotdog eating contest!
