Natalie Cole on The Tonight Show Last Night

Now I remember why I don't waste my time watching those late night shows on TV.

I read yesterday that Natalie Cole was going to be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.  Considering that she over the past few months has been very ill with kidney failure, I wanted to see how she was doing.

Well, this started a long agonizing wait.  I suffered through some very lame jokes, the band that was too loud and really didn't sound that good, audience applause that was way overdone and drowned out people often and endless commercials.  When Natalie finally came on, she sang one stinkin' song and wished Leno a Merry Christmas and the flippin' show was over.  He never even talked with her or anything.

I felt cheated and as I turned the TV off, I vowed to return to my policy of not watching worthless late night television again.

What a waste of 90 minutes for sure.

Steve

ON THE SHOW THIS WEEK!

This week, we will celebrate several birthdays and share the sounds
of the season. Plus, in the third hour, we go Jingle Bells crazy.
I stole the idea from a website and I will share with you several
versions of the great classic song and they are all very different
in style and flavor. I know it sounds a little weird, but it's
kind of cool to hear this mix.

Plus, we will have show 107 in the Frank Truth Podcast series as
well.

Now through Christmas day, you can enjoy the smooth sounds of the
season anytime on Ultra Jazz Radio.

This programming note: Our year end Countdown show will take place
on Tuesday, December 30th. Listen along as we relive the big
smooth jazz hits of 2008 and find out who secured the number one
spot for the year.
